Carolyn Sweeney, M.S., CCC-SLP
Carolyn received her B.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University.
Since joining CCST in 2015, Carolyn has enjoyed working with individuals in both pediatric and adult populations. Carolyn is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience offering bilingual services in early intervention settings. Carolyn has run a social group for school age children with social/pragmatic delays using the Michelle Garcia Winner 'Social Thinking' curriculum. She particularly enjoys working with patients with voice disorders and helping them achieve a healthy, functional voice through the use of evidence-based exercises, biofeedback, and individualized vocal hygiene protocols. Carolyn has completed advanced coursework in the areas of autism, verbal apraxia, and dysphagia. She is a certified LSVT Loud clinician. She is also trained in DIR/Floortime, AmpCare-Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and Positive Parenting Program- Level 2.
Carolyn lives in Raleigh with her husband, young daughter, and two cats. In her downtime she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time outdoors.
