Emmie Tozier

Speech-Language Pathologist

Emmie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She majored in Spanish and can provide bilingual evaluations and treatment to our Spanish speaking patients and families.


Emmie brings experience in treating a variety of pediatric and adult populations to the CCST team. She is well versed in assessing and treating adults with neurogenic disorders including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia and dysphagia. She enjoys helping adults improve their cognitive and communication skills while increasing independence in daily activities. She values making therapy creative and client centered.


She also has specialized training in assessing and treating children who are deaf or hard of hearing with concomitant developmental disabilities. Her pediatric experience includes working with children with cochlear implants, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, apraxia of speech, and dysarthria. She also has extensive research experience with pediatric feeding.


Outside of work, Emmie enjoys running, cycling, baking all the things, and traveling with her husband.
