Krista attended Appalachian State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Krista enjoys working with preschool to school age children, and has experience with articulation and phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, expressive and receptive language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, ADHD, cleft palate, genetic deletion disorders, and Cerebral palsy. She has experience in programming and implementing AAC devices and is familiar with TouchChat, Lamp Words for Life, and Unity. Krista believes in being creative and flexible while implementing therapy, using a child's strengths and interests to increase motivation and success. She aims to facilitate confidence in her patient's families in how they can support their children in their goals.

In her free time, Krista enjoys cooking, reading, trying different coffee shops, and antiquing.
