Rachel Snider
Speech-Language Pathologist
Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in Communication from NC State University and went on to graduate from NC Central University with a Master's of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Rachel enjoys working with children of all ages from preschool to 18 as well as adults. She has experience evaluating and treating children with expressive/receptive delays and disorders, Autism, Down Syndrome, articulation and phonological disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). She has special interest in working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and has training in Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP Words for Life) as well as experience working with TD Snap. Rachel also has experience working with adults including those with voice disorders and Parkinson’s Disease with LSVT LOUD-like strategies.
Rachel strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for patients and their families, with a focus on functional communication goals, equipping families with everyday-use strategies, and believes that all communication types should be valued and recognized.
Rachel is a New Jersey native but loves living in Raleigh. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, being outside, traveling, and attending concerts and sporting events.
